I thought Pure McCartney was good, but like many people, I didn't understand why it excluded representations from some of his albums (especially FITD and Driving Rain), and I thought maybe it could have gone a bit further with the deep cuts and outtakes. The thread seemed to be quite popular at the time, so I thought, why not do the same with Paul McCartney? A while ago I shared an idea I had for an 'ultimate' George Harrison compilation.
